VET Hospitality at Castle Hill High School is a dynamic area of study engaging a large number of senior students each year.
The purpose of this course is to provide students with the opportunity to gain industry recognised national vocational qualifications under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) as part of their NSW Higher School Certificate.
This course comprises mandatory units of competency, stream units of competency in Kitchen Operations and Cookery and a selection of competencies from an elective pool. There are also mandatory industry work placement requirements (35 hours in Year 11 and 35 hours in Year 12).
Studying VET Hospitality can ultimately deliver two qualifications to our students:

Castle Hill High School acknowledges the tradition custodians of the land of Castle Hill, the Darug people. The Castle Hill region was home to the Bidjigal clan of the Darug people, which means 'plains-dweller' in the Darug language. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging and extend that respect to all Aboriginal people.
