At Castle Hill High School the study of Industrial Technology Years 9 - 10 provides students with opportunities to engage in a diverse range of creative and practical experiences in the area of Timber. Students are able to select both Timber and Metal subjects to study if they like the challenges in the Metal and Timber areas.
We aim to provide a range of practical experiences that occupy the majority of course time. Practical experiences develop knowledge and understanding of and skills in designing, producing and evaluating Timber products. Student capability, confidence and expertise at their current stage of development are important considerations in determining the teaching and learning sequences in the course.
The Timber focus area provides opportunities for students to develop knowledge, understanding and skills in relation to the timber and associated industries.

Castle Hill High School acknowledges the tradition custodians of the land of Castle Hill, the Darug people. The Castle Hill region was home to the Bidjigal clan of the Darug people, which means 'plains-dweller' in the Darug language.
